John Fleming, MD, serves the people of Louisiana’s Fourth District, an area that stretches from our state’s northwest corner south to Beauregard Parish and east to Union Parish and St. Landry Parish. John works to uphold the Constitution, fight for a smaller, limited government, and to reinstate the conservative values on which this country was founded.
He served as a Navy physician before establishing a family practice in Minden, Louisiana, his home of 30 years. In 2007, the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians named John the Louisiana Family Doctor of the Year. His medical practice and other small business enterprises continue to contribute to the regional economy by offering employment to over 500 Louisianians.
A deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Sunday school department director at First Baptist Church of Minden, John also specializes in the treatment of addiction and depression and is the author of Preventing Addiction: What Parents Must Know to Immunize their Kids Against Drug and Alcohol Addiction. John and Cindy, his wife of 32 years, have four children and two grandchildren.
John came to Congress in 2008 to be a servant-leader for the people of Louisiana, representing the conservative values of Louisianians, and bringing their voice to Washington.
